A top-tier Illinois State Senate campaign in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago is seeking Field Organizers. We are searching for qualified individuals that will engage in voter contact and volunteer recruitment. This is a competitive race with an exciting first-time female candidate in a district that hasn't seen a Democratic challenger in a decade, and field will be essential to win this election.
Field Organizers will work closely with the candidate and the campaign staff and have opportunities for increased leadership. The primary responsibility of a Field Organizer is to recruit, manage, and train volunteers to organize their communities into teams that register, persuade, and motivate voters.
Responsibilities:
Direct voter contact via door-to-door canvassing, phone calls, texts, emails, and letters
Organizing Volunteer Networks and recruiting, managing and training volunteers
Campaign Office Operations
Data Entry/Management
Community Outreach
Preparing canvass and phonebank materials
Representing the campaign at events
Assisting with and writing media and opinion media
Requirements:
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn
Able to work independently and with a team
Familiarity with Vote Builder, Mini Van, Hustle, or G Suite is a plus
Valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle.
Working laptop and phone.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Ability to work long and irregular hours.
