An Education Based Non-profit organization seeks a part-time Digital Content Administrator.  Days/Hours are flexible between M-F 9a-4:30p.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with outstanding organization skills to help with communications efforts and assist with other administrative tasks related to website and business. In addition, working closely with our Project Managers, the Specialist will copy, populate, and format web pages according to pre-defined specifications.


Term—Six months maximum from start date (looking to fill immediately)


Hours/days – 2 days per week, 10 hours per week between hours of 9 am and 4:30 pm (potential for an additional 10 hours a week for 2-5 weeks of website content migration in January and February)


Working Conditions – Work from a MAC laptop at a table in the common space of WeWork. Must be okay with an open-office environment.


Job Responsibilities:

·       Customer service – Respond to standard email inquiries.

·       Social media and blog posting – Write FB posts and tweets per our format (possibility to write for blog and newsletter).

·       Perform other possible office and communications duties as assigned.

·       Website support – Assist copy editing for new website (researching broken links, organizing copy for editing, etc).

·       Migrate and assemble content (text, links, images, video, documents) from a legacy website into new Wordpress platform. Correct formatting discrepancies, broken links, and optimizes content as needed.

·       Double-check work for accuracy. Test to ensure web pages present well across supported browsers and devices.

·       Be accountable for the quality of your work and follow designated procedures to meet our standards.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

§  Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially working with Word and Excel

§  Advanced proofreading and writing skills

§  Social media and digital marketing skills

§  Outstanding attention to detail

§  Experience with Photoshop

§  Experience with K-12 education market

§  Google Analytics

§  Experience with web content and publishing, particularly with Wordpress

§  Strong communications skills

§  Critical thinking ability and sound judgement

§  Experience with video and photo production and optimization a plus
