Description
The DCCC is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC's Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio and other voter contact efforts. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working campaign professionals who are committed to electing more Democrats and protecting the House majority.
Position Summary:
The DCCC requires an experienced, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to serve as the Compliance & Accounting Assistant. The ideal candidate will have entry-level experience in accounting or administration.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Accounting Project Management – Includes assisting with committee credit cards, employee benefits, staff reimbursements, monthly reconciliation, and cash flow
- Compliance & FEC Responsibilities – Includes tracking of various types of committee campaign expenditures, including Independent Expenditures
- Departmental Coordination – Includes assisting the department with projects such as training, managing department interns, and maintaining the department calendar and scheduling requests
- Assist the CFO and department with other duties and projects as needed
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in accounting and/or administration
• Superior time management, planning, organization and communications skills
• Must be detail-oriented, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and work both independently and with other departments in accomplishing goals
