[jobsthatareLEFT by GAIN] JOB: Ed Markey for US Senate - Statewide Outreach Coordinator - MA

The Ed Markey for US Senate campaign is growing its team for the 2019-2020 cycle.

As U.S. Senator, Ed Markey has been a champion for the issues that matter most to Massachusetts families. Earlier this year, Ed worked with Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to introduce a Green New Deal to create millions of good jobs and counteract systemic injustices and address the existential threat of climate change. In the Senate, Ed has fought for net neutrality and a free and open Internet for all, advocated for workers' rights including paid sick leave and a national $15 minimum wage, stood up to the Trump Administration's senseless push for border wall funding, defended ROE v. Wade, and fought to protect Obamacare, Medicare, and Medicaid to ensure access to health care for millions of Americans.

At a time when the very core of our democracy is at stake, Ed is running for re-election in 2020 because he is committed to fighting for our values, our families, and our future.

Senator Ed Markey is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven and creative individual to serve as Statewide Outreach Coordinator for the 2019-2020 cycle.

  • Managing a team to hit weekly goals and campaign benchmarks
  • Training, activating and empowering volunteers and staff
  • Outreach to and relationship building with key stakeholders and influencers
  • Coordinating grassroots actions and field events
  • Maintaining and growing an effective, organized database
  • Building a successful fall fellowship program
  • Representing Ed at community events
  • Communicating digitally and growing a broader grassroots network
The Statewide Outreach Coordinator must be highly organized with a passion for working with volunteers. The Statewide Outreach Coordinator should possess excellent communication, leadership and follow-up skills, and an instinct for creative problem-solving.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ cycles of organizing, campaign, or political experience.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Access to a vehicle strongly preferred.
This position is based in Massachusetts and is full-time. To apply, please send resumes to jobs@edmarkey.org and include the name of the job posting in the subject line.
