Position Description:
Black Voters Matter (BVM) is seeking a Development Manager/Grantwriter to ensure impeccable quality and timeliness of grant proposals, reports, acknowledgement, and all donor/funder correspondence; execute successful fundraising events; and maintain the donor database. They will also be responsible for cultivating and expanding a portfolio of high-level individual donor relationships.
Principal Responsibilities:
Writing grant proposals and supervising grantwriting consultants that may be occasionally utilized.
Cultivating and managing ongoing relationships with current and prospective donors, including timely donor recognition and appreciation
Creating and managing a relationship database of current and potential donors, including online donations as well as mailed donations
Coordinating with communications team to develop materials needed for effective fundraising and ensuring that communications team has email information for online donors
Working with team members (Political Director, Evaluations Specialist, etc) to submit end-of-period grant reports and an annual report
Coordinating at least two fundraising events of varying scopes per year
