About Us
IFA is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to holding those accountable who threaten long-standing principles of our democracy—including our country's commitment to civil rights and equal justice. Most notably, IFA is backing Sines v. Kessler, the landmark federal lawsuit against the neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and hate groups responsible for the August 2017 violence in Charlottesville, VA. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of a coalition of Charlottesville community members injured in the violence, has the potential to bankrupt and dismantle the individuals and groups at the center of this violent movement.
Core Responsibilities
The Digital Director will be primarily responsible for managing IFA's digital presence, including its email marketing program, social media feeds, and website, with a goal of growing IFA's and the Charlottesville case's online presence, and ultimately, increasing the number of online donors.
This is a full-time role based in New York City or Washington, DC, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
You will:
-Develop organic social media content for all platforms, including compelling copy and graphics.
-Create and implement online fundraising strategies.
-Work with consultants to maintain IFA's website.
-Draft, send, and monitor all IFA emails using EveryAction.
-Engage in rapid response to current events and developments in the legal case.
-Amplify media opportunities online.
-Create and implement paid social media strategies.
-Attend events to represent IFA and gather content.
-Monitor the news and relevant social media feeds for engagement opportunities.
Requirements
-At least 3 to 5 years digital experience, especially with online fundraising.
-Proven track record of success at using digital tools to achieve organizational goals.
-Deep understanding of EveryAction or a willingness to learn quickly.
-Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
-Strong design skills for creating social media images.
-Meticulous attention to detail.
-Ability to engage in rapid response and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
-A creative vision and resourcefulness to make it a reality.

Salary & Benefits
Salary range: $60,000 to $80,000 (commensurate with experience) plus very generous benefits.
