Georgia Shift is seeking a full-time Program Director with a commitment to long-term organizing and increasing youth participation in elections to lead our civic engagement, leadership development, and issue organizing programs. The Program Director will also represent Georgia Shift in various progressive coalitions and collaborate regularly with partner organizations.

Responsibilities
Program Planning & Strategy (60%)
Spearhead and drive voter engagement strategies with an emphasis on young people of color under 25 years old to meet and/or exceed program deliverables.
Aiding staff in recruiting, managing, and hiring field staff and select advocacy staff
Collaborating with Executive Director & Deputy Director to meet program goals as it relates to field organizing, advocacy, and leadership development
Assist in strategic planning for the vision of the organization.
Responsible for achieving all programmatic metrics outlined for 2020 - 2021
Create strategic engagement plans using unique on-the-ground knowledge to create a sustainable volunteer recruitment pipeline and build our base.
Leading local advocacy staff while minimally supporting our statewide advocacy work in conjunction with the Deputy Director and other statewide policy staff.
Support organizers who lead fellowship program implementation; including but not limited to recruitment, curriculum monitoring, and event planning.
Develop and manage systems to support community leaders on story collection, list building, and coalition building
Identify and implement mechanisms to monitor program activities, impact evaluation, and data collection on a daily and weekly basis as needed.
Plan and execute leadership development events for program staff, volunteers and/or fellows.
Monitoring and tracking programmatic budgets
Community Organizing (25%)
Work with community, staff, volunteers to drive issue campaign priorities and goals, and analyze outcomes to help hone campaign strategy and program development
Lead community organizing efforts that include but are not limited to issue organizing, voter registration, and absentee ballot request campaigns
Recruit, train, and mobilize staff + volunteers for canvassing, phone banking, and other data needs.
Identify and cultivate community and campus leaders
Quality Control (15%)
Managing all quality control staff involved in field programming
Ensure security and quality control of voter registrations and other related voting forms in accordance with state and funder guidelines.
Creating and enforcing policies for effective data management
Formulating management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
Qualifications
At least 4 - 5 years of issue-based and/or electoral organizing experience
1 - 2 years of data and targeting experience through VAN, TargetSmart, Catalist, or other similar databases/voter files.
Experience building out foundational leadership programming for structural change
Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for, and experience with, engaging people face-to-face on campuses, in the community, through tabling, meetings, and other grassroots tactics.
Ability to work with communities of color, low-income communities, and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Aptitude to maintain relationships through clear, professional communications with follow-through and responsiveness.
Ability to travel within Georgia and work non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license is required
This is a full-time, permanent position based out of Augusta, reporting to the Executive Director. Georgia Shift provides medical and dental coverage with paid sick and vacation time, along with a professional development budget. Salary is $50,000 - $55,000, commensurate with experience.
