Forward Majority was formed in 2017 with the sole goal of flipping control of state legislative chambers from red to blue. We focus exclusively on states that have the biggest impact on gerrymandering and voter suppression, which distort national outcomes and undermine the functioning of our democracy. Our work uses data-driven targeting to surface competitive races that have been consistently overlooked.
We are currently seeking a Creative Director for the 2020 cycle. The position is responsible for overseeing, along with additional team members, the scripting, production, and editing of digital video and television ads across targeted states as well the creative process for direct mail in conjunction with designers and copy editor.
Preferred Qualifications
· 3 cycles of relevant political experience or equivalent in commercial or non-profit advertising
· Past involvement in television or digital production
· Past involvement with direct mail programs
· Strong writing skills
· Creative thinking
· Ability to hit deadlines and manage multiple projects at a given time
· Strong management skills – this person will hire a team of editors to assist in the work
· Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
