The Organization:
2020 Campaign Services, INC was established by Presidential campaign alumni to build organization in battleground states. We help progressive organizations build community based, volunteer driven campaigns. The company is focused on providing clients with turn-key logistics to get a quality voter contact program off the ground quickly and efficiently. The main services that we provide our clients include research, hard data products, full service operations support for staff and offices, accountability mechanisms and staff training.
National Organizing Director Description:
The National Organizing Director will work to build community-based, volunteer-driven organizational capacity in key battleground states for the general election campaign. The National Organizing Director will report to the Campaign Director and provide support to state-based organizing directors and their programs. This position will work closely with other members of the national team, including the Digital Director and Data Director to help create tools and processes to track the progress of in-state programs.
Responsibilities:
- Support organizing program in key battleground states with a focus on building a robust volunteer organization & infrastructure
- Provide leadership and support for state-based organizing directors and their teams
- Work closely with training team to support state-based organizing program needs and to establish a strong organizing culture across all state teams
- Establish standard metrics to monitor state-based program work
- Develop standard processes for goal-setting and reporting
- Facilitate creation and sharing of template organizing tools for staff and volunteers
- Develop digital organizing program (including selection of digital organizing tools) to support offline organizing program in each state
- Create program models that recruit and train volunteers across state programs
- Assist with training and recruiting of organizers
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of effective political organizing, strategy and implementation at the state or national level
- Federal electoral (preferably presidential) experience as well as 501(c)(4) work, with a strong understanding of legal requirements and restrictions
- Respect for state-based organizations, leaders and programs
- Experience organizing a diverse set of constituencies in a diverse set of geographies
- Strong understanding of digital organizing and digital organizing tools
- Experience building and scaling up large volunteer organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight timelines
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and sense of humor
