The Climate Action Campaign is a highly effective, unbranded coalition of national climate, conservation, and progressive groups, state and local partners, and key allies working to protect clean air and promote action to limit climate change. The Campaign regularly partners with national and state-based groups, as well as leaders from diverse communities, to promote climate action, defend against attacks on the Clean Air Act and climate change policies, and showcase the unyielding transition to clean energy driven by state, local and federal action.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The CAC reporting manager maintains and develops tools that track campaign activity and facilitate office workflows, supports the development and monitoring of annual campaign metrics, and develops written materials to communicate to various stakeholders and allies about campaign activity, outcomes, and successes. The reporting manager is integral to the campaign's ability to tell its story to funders, senior leadership, allies in Congress, and partner organizations.

 

Database Management:

 

·         Maintains data integrity by setting and enforcing standards, controls, and timely record entry

·         Designs and builds upgrades to databases by collaborating with campaign staff to identify new needs and synchronizing database architecture and programming

·         Manages Quick Base user accounts and permissions and trains new database users, including campaign, consultant, and partner organization staff

·         Build reports that convey data about campaign activity to senior leadership and that help campaign staff manage and evaluate programs

·         Troubleshoots user problems within databases

·         Manages Quick Base account and hires and manages solutions providers, when needed

·         Occasionally performs bulk data imports

 

Reporting:

 

·         Compile a weekly newsletter to 200+ partners in the climate and progressive communities to educate them about upcoming climate moments and events, campaign highlights, and advocacy resources

·         Draft updates to campaign various stakeholders ahead of convenings and following major campaign moments

·         Work with donor communications manager to ensure funder-facing reports contain up-to-date metrics and to provide strong examples of campaign successes to highlight for funders

·         Assist the planning director and donor communications manager in compiling and updating quantitative goals for planning periods

 

Requirements:

 

·         At least 3-5 yrs of experience managing data or database infrastructure for advocacy organizations and/or political campaigns

·         Familiarity with relational databases and ability to translate programmatic needs into database infrastructure and interface design

·         Familiarity with Quick Base cloud database software and/or Mailchimp a plus

·         Strong writing and editing skills, including ability to translate data concepts for a non-technical audience

·         Ability to develop aesthetically-pleasing content and user interfaces

·         Demonstrated ability to set priorities effectively in a heavy workload and project manage and coordinate complex projects

·         Fluency in coding languages (e.g. SQL or Python) is NOT a requirement for this position

 

This position reports to the senior director for planning and innovation.
