A competitive Democratic challenger campaign in Virginia is seeking a finance assistant and/or call time manager. These roles will work closely with and report to the Finance Director and will assist in the day to day fundraising operations of the campaign. Potential duties include:
Managing candidate call time including significant donor research and follow up, ensuring the campaign hits its targets and deadlines.
Providing significant support in building and running a robust campaign events program.
Building and maintaining an existing donor database in NGP; identifying and recruiting new donors.
Managing thank you note program.
Assisting in supervising campaign direct mail solicitation program.
Managing relationships and timely communication with campaign donors.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must be highly organized, highly motivated and capable of working through a demanding work environment.
Additionally, ideal candidates would have:
1 to 2 cycles of campaign experience, either as an intern or paid staff.
Goal and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Superior organizational skills, creativity and initiative.
The desire to work collaboratively with a motivated team.
Knowledge of NGP VAN and other finance software preferred.
Must have access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
