A competitive Virginia Congressional race is hiring Field Organizers to build a diverse and robust organizing team in the district.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
Using phone calls, text messages and digital tactics to recruit and retain volunteers
Plan and manage phone banks, canvasses, and other volunteer events
Recruit for and manage volunteer leadership
Identify supporters by knocking on doors and calling voters
Act as ambassadors of the campaign
Develop and foster relationships with local grassroots groups and allies
Meet daily and weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals
Ensure data integrity in all media
Required Skills and Background
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage own workload effectively and efficiently
Valid driver's license
Access to cell phone, reliable vehicle and laptop
Solutions-oriented approach to problem solving
Commitment to electing Democrats
Commitment to investing in the community and district
Ability and willingness to work long and irregular hours and weekends
This is a full-time position requiring a full-time commitment starting as soon as possible through June 2020 with possibility of extension. Salary commensurate with experience.
