Title: Campaign Manager: Competitive NY State Legislature Race

Competitive Upstate New York Legislature race is seeking a campaign manager in the 2020 cycle.   

Duties include:  
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive campaign plan
• Working with the Field Director to support the field program
• Managing the campaign budget and working to execute fundraising plan.
• Managing event planning, including forums, fundraisers, and debates.
• Coordinating the work of political consultants regarding paid communications.
• Managing campaign staff. 
• Managing the candidate's schedule to maximize exposure to voters and donors.
• Drafting rapid response campaign communications to receive earned media.

Required Skills:  
The Campaign Manager should expect a rigorous work schedule with campaign hours and be available through Election Day. Qualified candidates should be highly organized, highly motivated, good at managing relationships with stakeholders across the campaign and capable of working in a stressful work environment.  All candidates should have a personal laptop, valid driver's license, and car.

Ideal Candidate will: 
• Have multiple cycles of campaign experience, ideally in a variety of positions within a campaign
• Be well-organized, professional, and punctual
• Have the ability to delegate work
• Have strong written and oral communications skills
• Function well in collaborative and team-oriented work environments
• Be able to function well in high-stress situations 

Salary is commensurate with experience, between $4,000 and $5,000 per month. Health insurance will be discussed prior to an offer and acceptance. While the campaign currently is working remotely, the campaign manager should plan to temporarily relocate to the district.
