Job Title: Phonebanker
Location: Georgia, remote
Compensation: $15 per hour
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Position: Part-time (25-30 hrs/week), temporary, remote
Dates of Employment: ASAP-November 6th, 2020

Care in Action is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting for dignity and fairness for the millions of domestic workers in the United States, most of whom are immigrants and women of color. Care in Action is hiring motivated individuals for a paid phonebanking program in Georgia for the 2020 election cycle. Phonebankers will be responsible for talking with voters ahead of the upcoming election. We will deepen our knowledge of the most pressing issues for Georgians and will encourage folks to vote in this crucial election. We are looking to fill positions immediately! This is a temporary position. Phonebankers will work under the immediate supervision of the Georgia Program Manager and Care in Action staff. Those with previous canvassing experience are encouraged to apply!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Make phone calls for several hours a day / 5 days a week
• Talk to voters about their interests and concerns
• Commit to having thorough daily debriefs
• Track and enter data from phone calls (must have access to a smartphone, ideally also a computer)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Have access to a smartphone and stable internet access for job duration - access to a computer is a plus
• Work well independently towards a team goal
• Strong interpersonal skills and outgoing personality
• Be goal-oriented, punctual, organized and have a positive attitude
• Believe in the mission and vision of the Care in Action
• Proficiency in a language other than English is a plus
