[GAINPOWER.org: Jobs That Are Left] Meso Solutions hiring VP, Outreach & Engagement

Meso Solutions is a young firm with big dreams seeking a Vice President of Outreach and Engagement. This is a new position at Meso and is a good fit for someone with an entrepreneurial, change management spirit and deep commitment to equity in workplaces. They will lead key components of our goal to create better hiring practices and workplaces via strong partnerships and lasting change in the social impact industry.

Inherent in this position is a deep, professional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). All team members must demonstrate that commitment on a daily basis and will be expected to stay aware of new and emerging research and practices for more equitable hiring.
The VP will own several major areas of work:
  • Outreach Strategy: Drive the strategy, program, and outreach to employers on equitable hiring practices through trainings, webinars, blog posts, social media content, and more. There is great opportunity for creativity in this realm.
  • Partner engagement: Build and deepen our non-client relationships, and identify opportunities for collaboration that will ultimately lead to more equitable candidate identification and hiring processes. Collaborate with our marketing team to ensure broad awareness of those opportunities.
  • Convening and learning spaces: Build a (virtual for now) convening space around DEI, hiring, and related issues. We want to be the place where people can share ideas, challenges, research findings and more.
  • General Project Management: Maintain relationships, projects, materials development, and logistics with a high degree of transparency and documentation.

The VP will also:

  • Engage in senior- and executive-level searches in partnership with our clients. Although a smaller percentage of the VP's time, we believe it is important for all staff to conduct the various stages of hiring to stay fresh on practices.
  • Support the President in: ensuring programs are financially sustainable; identifying additional growth opportunities; building a thoughtful team culture and structure; directing quantitative and qualitative research plans, such as our current work on disability perspectives in the hiring process.
  • Identify speaking opportunities and represent Meso at conferences, webinars, and events.
  • More! We're a flexible and adaptable team, and sometimes opportunities or challenges arise. The VP must have the ability to roll with things, make good assessments, and move forward.
