Social Media Manager
End Citizens United and Let America Vote
Reports to: Digital Director
Job summary: The Social Media Manager at End Citizens United and Let America Vote will manage social media accounts for ECU, LAV, and all our affiliated accounts, including creating content, developing creative campaigns for social media platforms, helping amplify content shared by partners and endorsed candidates, and using a metrics-driven approach to making our social media presence more effective and efficient.
Primary responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
Writing and generating content for social media platforms owned and operated by the four organizations under the End Citizens United and Let America Vote umbrella.
Analyzing engagement data and other metrics to determine the efficacy and efficiency of social media content, and to help direct changes.
Brainstorming and planning creative social media campaigns to further organizational objectives and amplify the work of partners and endorsed candidates.
Working to grow the audiences of our social media accounts.
Working across multiple departments to coordinate online messaging and help ensure successful virtual events.
Creating graphic assets and content to go along with social media posts and as resources for partners and endorsed candidates.
Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 1 cycle of work experience on an electoral or issue-based campaign, or with an issue-focused advocacy group (direct electoral experience preferred, but not required).
Familiarity with major social media platforms — Facebook, Instagram, Twitter — as well as familiarity with social media analytics tools.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/Illustrator) and a willingness to learn new skills when required.
Openness to working collaboratively with a team and across organizational departments while 100% remote due to COVID-19.
Ability to write and generate content under deadline during rapid response campaigns.
Organization, and the ability to manage multiple social media channels simultaneously is key.
Openness to creative and innovative solutions — desire to use the ECU/LAV audience online to help elect Democrats committed to unrigging our government to put power back into the hands of the people.
Salary: $55,000 – $60,000, and a competitive benefits package.
