Social Media Director
A top-tier NYC Mayoral Campaign is looking for a Social Media Director to join the team and lead the campaign's presence across social media.
Candidates should have strong written communication skills, a demonstrated interest in government and politics, and strong attention to detail in all aspects of work. The ability to write well and distill complex policies and ideas into concise social media content is a requirement, as is an understanding of mainstream as well as newer social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linked In, TikTok, and Clubhouse. As social media is a 24/7 space, this role will require work on nights and weekends. Creativity and a sense of humor are a plus.
The Role:
· Drive calendar and content creation for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms
· Constantly seek creative opportunities for engagement across platforms and coordinating with the broader campaign team to implement ideas
· Drafting a social media calendar
· Provide regular qualitative and quantitative reports on performance
· Assist in other projects as needed

· Clear, concise and engaging writing style
· Ability to execute quality work under tight deadlines with little oversight
· Strong project-management and time-management skills
· At least 2 years of campaign experience is required, and at least 1 cycle of social media experience is preferred
