[GAINPOWER.org: Jobs That Are Left] Campaign Manager - Brooklyn Borough President Campaign

A competitive, progressive, historic candidate for a campaign that represents 2.6 million residents is recruiting a full time Campaign Manager to join the fight for a Brooklyn and New York City that is centered on creating transformational change for all residents, and especially for women, seniors, families, children, working class residents, immigrants, people of color, and the marginalized and underserved communities.


The Campaign Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the campaign, including but not limited to:


  • Supervising the staff for a large, boroughwide campaign that overlaps with 6 congressional districts

  • Working alongside a team of senior advisors and consultants to set the campaign strategy

  • Coordinating the candidate's schedule

  • Overseeing a proactive communications strategy

  • Supervising an effective Field and voter contact program

  • Building a coalition of supportive political stakeholders

  • Assisting with fundraising activities and other activities as needed


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of at least 3-5 years of campaign, advocacy, or political experience

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to make sure that short term and long term priorities get completed

  • Proactive approach in identifying organizational gaps and executing a plan to fill them

  • Ability to work a standard campaign schedule, which includes evenings and weekends

  • A team player mentality, as well as the ability to self-direct and work independently

  • Ability to manage people and work laterally alongside an experienced consultant team

  • Familiarity with VAN is a plus

  • Familiarity with NYC Politics is a plus


The campaign manager will be full time through June 2021 and the role offers competitive compensation. Desired start date is March 1st, but can be flexible for the right candidate. Position can be remote to start, with expectation to be based in New York City sometime in 2021, with reasonable notice.


Compensation:

Base salary for this position is $7,000 per month.
