The
Saint Bernard Group, LLC (SBG) manages political fundraising, re-
election campaigns and political efforts for Democratic Elected
Officials. We are a small organization currently undergoing rapid
growth. The Managing Partner and Staff at SBG benefit from over 19
years of experience in electoral politics.
Our
clients are high-level elected officials, and are all Democrats at
the local, state and federal levels, including State Senators and
Representatives, City Council Members, and Members of the US
Congress.
SBG
is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, however occasional travel to
Harrisburg (PA), Washington (DC) and New York (NY) may be required.

Broad Responsibilities include:
- Managing
Fundraising Volunteers and/or Part Time Interns / Co-Op Students
(volunteer activities include phone calls, data entry, and mail
assembly)
- Executing portions of specified Event Plans & Logistics for various Fundraising Events
- Organizing and Raising $ for specific programs (i.e. Young Professionals Program)
- Managing
and Staffing Call-Time sessions for elected officials (PA State
Senators or Representatives, Members of US Congress, etc.)
- Office Management & Organization duties for the Finance Office
- Reports to Finance Director for specific projects, and the firm's Managing Partner for all other duties
RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising Support:
· Database Management:
Maintains high quality records to facilitate compliance reporting,
increase donor contact quality, and to support all fundraising
activities. This includes database management, tracking of
solicitations, contributions and related information, and the use of
campaign finance software such as NGP.
· Compliance Support:
Maintains meticulous compliance records including records of all
contributions and expenditures to facilitate efficient reporting.
Assists in filing PAC and campaign finance reports by deadline.
· Donor Outreach: Provides
information to donors about candidates, campaigns and issues by phone,
mail and email. May be asked to write newsletters and various
solicitation materials to assist in implementation of fundraising plans.
· Research: Provides
research support for all fundraising efforts, including individual
donor history research, and research on potential donors and prospects.
· Event Planning: Develops
schedules, timelines and plans for executing outstanding fundraising
events, including mail solicitation, event logistics, vendors and
additional event planning details as they arise and at the direction of
the Finance Director. Implements plans with the Intern Team.
· Scheduling and Misc. Support: Manages
scheduling and preparation of materials for Finance Team meetings, and
for call-time sessions, and provides other administrative support for
fundraising as needed.
Office Management:
· Office Management:
Ensures that the office runs smoothly. Manages office supply orders
upon request, schedules meetings upon request. Checks voicemail and PO
Box daily (Clean DL and Car are required).
· Communication:
Coordinates mailings and broadcast communications logistics, such as
broadcast email and broadcast fax services. Responsible for maintenance
of office organization & record keeping systems.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
· 1
– 2 years' experience in an Administrative Support or capacity or
related field required. Political fluency and campaign experience is
preferred.
· Superb
working knowledge of Microsoft Office – particularly Word and Excel –
as well as blast email software and graphic design software. Experience
with political field software and database management is preferred.
· Exceptional
written and oral communications skills, organizational skills and
interpersonal skills required. Flexibility and attention to detail are
also essential.
· Ability
to prioritize assignments and work on both team and individual
projects. Proven record of working independently is a plus. Willingness
to take responsibility for results on all assigned projects.
· Self-starter, highly-motivated, willingness and ability to take initiative and follow-through.
· Ability to demonstrate professionalism and patience in a high-pressure, fast-pace environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree required; preferably in a Social Science concentration such as Political Science or Communications.
Location: This
position is based in Philadelphia, PA. Occasional travel within the
Mid-Atlantic region may be required. Valid DL with clean driving record
required. Vehicle is strongly preferred.
