High-profile campaign for prominent local office in Milwaukee seeks a Finance Director. The position is full-time. Applicants must have at least 1- 2 cycles of campaign experience, as a finance director or deputy finance director, with progressive responsibilities. Applicants should be able to start immediately
This position will entail the following:
- Updating and revising the campaign's current finance plan cultivating all fundraising mediums and strategies including:
o Call time
o Candidate and staff donor meetings
o Events
o Low donor and high donor mail
o Email solicitations
o Low donor house parties
o Campaign surrogates and finance committee
o PAC outreach
o Prospect outreach
- Working directly with the candidate and staff in all components of the fundraising program;
- Serving as a campaign liaison at events, functions and meetings where the candidate cannot attend;
- Ensuring that appropriate data is recorded and compiled for reporting; and
- Serving as the campaign liaison to district, state and national donors.
The Finance Director will work with the fundraising team and candidate in executing all parts of the program and will be primarily responsible for the state and in-district component of the finance plan. Applicants must be able to work effectively independently as well as part of a team. Applicants must also be comfortable soliciting donors and must be extremely organized and have strong attention to detail. Applicants should have a strong competence using Microsoft Office programs and NGP.
Ideal applicants will also have the ability to work long and unconventional hours -- a typical campaign structure – and have no problem committing through the spring 2016 primary. In addition, stellar writing and verbal communication skills are required.
