Title: Regional Field Organizer
Location: Multiple locations throughout WI
We Are Wisconsin seeks motivated individuals who are willing to work hard and harness Wisconsin's moment in history for durable political change.
Inspired by the dedicated volunteers that share the We Are Wisconsin mission, we seek staff willing to execute a robust and innovative field program amid a challenging and intense political environment. Regional organizers will work with a team engaging in electoral, issue, and community organizing. Organizers will be trained, and required to train volunteers in cutting edge voter contact and organizing strategies. Organizers will be expected to execute a high quality and multi-goal field program on behalf of the working men and women of Wisconsin.
Come be a part of a new movement, to build strength in the roots of the grassroots, and help support Wisconsin's working families get back on their feet.
Qualified applicants should:
1.Commit themselves to working with diverse and engaged communities
including organized labor and grassroots organizations
2.Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative and self-start
3.Be open to leadership development and skill development.
4.Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
5.Demonstrate strong organizational skills
6.Commit themselves to working in a high pressure, high functioning environment
8.Be able to work independently and still meet goals
7.Demonstrate campaign, community, or labor organizing experience
8.Possess a valid US driver's license and access to reliable, insured transportation
Qualified candidates will have at least 3-5 cycles of experience and should have some awareness of what the work entails (including evening and weekend hours) and a willingness to learn, and work hard.
