Civic Engagement Coordinator
Crossroads Campaigns is a progressive political consulting firm helping Organizations and campaigns with development, field programs, online tools, and communications services. Crossroads is looking to hire a Field Coordinator to help run a non-partisan voter engagement program in New Jersey and New York.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
● Training and managing building captains and volunteers.
● Training building captains on proper techniques to engage voters, to properly and accurately collect voter registration forms and work with members of community to turnout voters.
● Developing building captains to help recruit and train phone bankers and canvassers to participate in events designed to contact voters and engage volunteers.
● Meeting voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals.
● Providing accurate and consistent reports of progress to goal.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
● Strong commitment to expanding the pool of New American voters
● Great time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
● Discipline and a solutions-oriented attitude toward tasks
● Ability to train and instruct building captains and volunteers on proper recruitment and voter contact techniques.
● Excellent listening skills and ability to speak and write effectively and professionally
● Experience in setting and achieving measurable targets, managing teams, and coordinating between multiple stakeholders.
● Ability to handle multiple priority projects and meet established timelines.
● Candidates with experience managing volunteers or building relationships with diverse groups of people are preferred.
● Candidates with past experience running payroll on paid operations are preferred
● Candidates should have experience working with Voter Activation Networks and be able to train others in its proper usage.
● Having a vehicle is strongly recommended.
● Preference will be given to applicants in the NY/NJ area
Salary is competitive and commensurate to experience. Applicants will be responsible for making their own housing arrangements.
