Our professional staff combines independent research, practical ideas and tough-minded advocacy to overcome the opposition of powerful special interests and win real results for Colorado and the country. We need a detail-oriented, Human Resources intern who enjoys interacting with people and who wants to learn about recruiting candidates for multiple organizations. Skills learned include: posting to job boards, recruiting alumni and current students, entry-level graphic design, and building up a social media presence.
The Public Interest Network, a political advocacy organization, is looking for an intern for our hub locations. This is an unpaid internship, so we are willing to help you receive class credit in exchange for your hours. This is an educational internship, so you should be learning skills about advocacy, writing, research, human resources, and communications as part of this internship.
Interns should be interested in making social change and/or passionate about political issues and interested in learning necessary skills for recruiting.
Local candidates only:

• Minneapolis, MN
Responsibilities:
– Post job descriptions to multiple job boards
– Use social media to reach potential candidates
– Data entry
– Learn and utilize a large database with sensitive information
– Compile weekly numbers tracking sources of applications
