Responsibilities:
Field Organizers (FOs) are the local face of the Perriello for Governor campaign. An FOs primary responsibility is to build and grow volunteer teams who conduct voter contact in accordance with their regional organizing plan. FOs identify, recruit, and train groups of volunteers to hold phone banks, canvasses, and other activities to strengthen the campaign's organization. They hold volunteers accountable to the goals proscribed in the field plan as well as ensure the integrity of the data collected. FOs report directly to their Regional Field Director.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
At least one election cycle of organizing experience is strongly preferred
Own a vehicle or other mode of transportation
Working knowledge of the structure of political campaigns and familiarity with VoteBuilder
Good sense of humor and a strong interest in and commitment to progressive values
Capacity and desire to work long hours in a campaign setting
