Tom Perriello's campaign for Governor of Virginia is hiring Regional Field Directors to join the team behind his new-generation progressive candidacy.
Responsibilities:
Regional Field Directors (RFDs) will primarily be responsible for managing a team of Field Organizers who recruit, train, and manage volunteers. Additional responsibilities include developing regional organizing plans that both reflect the needs and realities of their region and fit with the statewide field plan. RFDs will also oversee the hiring, training, and management of FOs for their region as well as coaching FOs to cultivate and develop volunteer teams. RFDs will report directly to statewide field leadership.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
At least two cycles of organizing experience and one cycle of staff management experience are strongly preferred
Own a vehicle or other reliable mode of transportation
Working knowledge of the structure of political campaigns and familiarity with VoteBuilder
Capacity and desire to work long hours in a campaign setting
