Field Director Job Posting
Description:
Democratic Candidate for Governor seeks Field Director for 2018 campaign cycle.
The ideal candidate will be committed to affecting change in red states, have experience in running a statewide field program, is goal orientated and skilled at managing a team.
Responsibilities:
The Field Director will be responsible for executing the field plan in both the primary and general cycles, which will be written in conjunction with the campaign manager. The Field Director's primary responsibility will be to ensure the goals in the field plan being met. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Develop field and implement field program
· Recruit, hire and train regional organizers.
· Manage field staff and ensure their goals and benchmarks are being met including volunteer recruitment and retention goals
· Craft scripts, FAQ's and all other field materials under the direction of the Campaign Manager and Communications Director.
· Oversee and manage field data
· Attending events across the state with the candidate
· Assist in turnout efforts for campaign events
· Building and maintaining positive relationships with supportive Democrats, progressive organizations and community leaders
· Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
· Minimum of one cycle of working in field or political organizing – experience organizing in rural area a plus
· Experience managing staff or interns.
· High levels of organization and task management.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills.
· Proficiency in Votebuilder, Excel, and data management
· Ability to manage a multi-leveled accountability structure for field program, organizers and volunteer leaders.
· Must have a driver's license, reliable transportation, personal laptop and cell phone.
· Ability to spend significant amounts of time on the road and work nights and weekends.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
