The North Dakota Democratic-NPL is accepting qualified applications for the position of Finance Director. The Finance Director for the North Dakota Democratic-NPL will work closely with the Chair, Executive Director, Digital Director and Finance Consultant in drafting and executing the party's finance plan for the 2018 cycle. The Finance Director will receive supervision from the Executive Director, with occasional direction from the fundraising consultant. The Finance Director reports to the Executive Director. Responsibilities include:
· Coordinating with the Finance Consultant to draft call sheets and continuously update NGP
· Working with the Executive Director in planning and executing in-state fundraisers, including but not limited to: The Annual Dinner, the Spring Dinner, reccurring events, grassroots fundraisers, and high-dollar events
· Working with the Executive Director to draft the finance plan for the cycle
· Overseeing logistics with all mailings (recurring donors, out of state, etc.)
· Working with other party staff to find ways to promote and expand the Century Club program
· Coordinating with the Digital Director with fundraising emails and NGP and BSD logistics
· Call Time for mid-tier donors ($500-$1000) and follow up calls at the discretion of the Chair and Executive Director
· Coordinating with staffs from statewide candidates to make sure that there is no overlap in donor outreach
· Working with Chair and Executive Director to identify and make asks to in-state high dollar donors
· Researching potential donors at the direction of the Executive Director and fundraising consultant
· If necessary, supervising the Finance Assistant and interns
· Serving as Democratic-NPL staff representative for all Finance Committee meetings
Qualifications:
· 1-3 or more cycles of political finance, including serving as a finance assistant, call time manager, deputy finance director, or finance director, on federal, statewide, or high profile legislative campaigns
· Experience with NGP and Blue State Digital
· Bachelors' degree in communications, political science or a related field
· Experience writing and executing a finance plan
· Comfortable working long, irregular hours for Democratic candidates and causes
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Salary:
