A New York City elected official is looking for a full time Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will oversee all aspects of the schedule, including but not limited to: preparing talking points and background information, coordinating with various elected officials and community groups, drafting of proclamations, and citations.
This position is entry level and recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.

Applicants should possess some knowledge of New York City and State politics, and should be available to start within a few weeks. The ideal candidate works well in a fast paced environment, can multi-task under tight deadlines and is a team player. VERY strong attention to detail is required. The position reports to the Chief of Staff and the elected official, so creativity and an ability to self-start are crucial.
The job requires occasional work on nights and weekends. Proficiency in a language other than English is preferred but not required, and should be noted in cover letter. A full benefits package is included.
