Hey all, I'm hiring for a really fun gig on my team: NGP VAN is looking for an energetic and creative critical thinker to join its growing marketing team as a Marketing Strategist.
This person will be responsible for implementing a proactive growth marketing strategy to build relationships across the progressive movement and market NGP VAN's suite of political and advocacy tools. From planning webinars and hosting events to drafting blog posts, content offers, and managing social media - the Marketing Strategist (Political & Advocacy) will serve as a brand advocate, thought leader, and key representative of the company in the political and progressive advocacy space.
What you'll do:
- Create and manage an editorial calendar of content targeting political and advocacy professionals.
- Draft blog posts and large content offers about tips, tricks, and trends in political fundraising, organizing, digital, and advocacy
- Manage and exponentially grow NGP VAN's social media presence on various outlets
- Market new features and products related to NGP VAN's political digital, organizing, & fundraising platforms
- Market new features and products related to EveryAction's digital & advocacy tools.
- Help manage several political, advocacy, or product-focused events and sponsorships throughout the year - from throwing a small happy hour, to strategizing about major conference presence.
What we're looking for from you:
You're a perfect candidate for this role if you're a strong writer, love progressive campaigns, intrigued by new technologies, and aren't afraid of throwing out crazy ideas.
An ideal candidate will have experience working on a political campaign in the areas of organizing, communications, or digital, and will possess core knowledge of the progressive political landscape. Ability to hustle is a must. Prior use of one of NGP VAN's products (NGP, VAN, Digital 8, MiniVAN, or EveryAction) is required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Hubspot, or Salesforce is a plus.
