A top-tier Democratic congressional race in the Midwest is seeking a motivated, hard-working finance assistant to assist a two-person fundraising staff. Candidate is a primary front-runner seeking to unseat a highly vulnerable member of Congress.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The finance assistant will be responsible for a number of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Helping staff and the candidate prepare for daily call time
- Helping plan and build fundraising events in and out of the district
- Completing research on potential donors to the campaign
- Using campaign software such as NGP to enter data, prepare calls and handle donations
- Preparing mailings to supporters
- Handling money and performing various compliance tasks
- Completing writing projects as necessary
REQUIRED:
- Passion for electing Democrats
- Access to a car
- Willingness to work long hours, including weekends
- Willingness to relocate to the district (supporter housing can be arranged if necessary)
PREFERRED:
- Finance/campaign staff or internship experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to relocate and start job very soon is preferred
