POSITION: Deputy Research Director, Trump War Room

 

LOCATION: Washington, DC

 

American Bridge 21st Century, a progressive research and communications organization dedicated to holding Republicans accountable for their words and actions, is hiring a Deputy Research Director to join its Trump War Room team. The Deputy Research Director will report to the Trump War Room Research Director and work closely with communications and digital staff.

Responsibilities:

·         Oversee paid media vetting and fact checking.

·         Manage a team of Research Associates and direct and edit their work products.

·         Help manage research plan implementation in preparation for the 2020 election.

·         Work with the Research Director and Communications Director to pitch findings to media.

·         Engage with outside progressive organizations about our work

·         Work with the FOIA team direct public records research effort.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

·         Opposition research experience on campaigns or with progressive political organizations, including strong familiarity with LexisNexis, FOIA, and other common research tools

·         Strong news judgment.

·         Management skills, including delegation, mentorship, and a desire to teach.

·         Curiosity and a desire to learn.
