Competitive congressional campaign in the northeast seeks experienced Field Director for 2020 primary and general elections.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and execute full field plan in consultation with senior campaign team and candidate
- Develop specific plan for getting on the ballot, including local committee organizing and petition collection
- Work with local volunteers to create a robust volunteer program and manage volunteers' time, goals, and engagement
- Set and manage field budget in consultation with the campaign manager
- Develop relationships with local Democratic party leaders and activists and maintain engagement and ongoing contact with grassroots organizers
- Run a data-driven, targeted program that integrates into broader campaign goals and strategies
- Serve as a senior member of the campaign team, participating in broader strategic discussions and participating in senior operations
Qualifications include:
- Two cycles of formal field experience on a political campaign required
- Fluency with VAN required
- Access to reliable transportation required
- Experience working in the northeast preferred
- Experience in rural, urban, and suburban areas a plus
Salary: Commensurate with experience, and competitive for primary congressional campaign salaries.
